Alleen thuis zitten tijdens de feestdagen is natuurlijk helemaal niet leuk, dat vond ook de Amerikaanse single Aaron Smith. Hij besloot daarom in actie te komen en samen met zijn software engineer Scott McDowell een datingsapp te bouwen. Maar niet zomaar een datingsapp zoals Bumble, Tinder of Happn. Nee, een datingsapp waar hij de enige man is die op het platform mag.
De dames die op de datingsapp genaamd Singularity zitten krijgen alleen maar Aaron Smith te zien. Zelfs als jij naar rechts swiped, krijg je weer Aaron Smith te zien, alleen met een andere foto.
Aaron Smith zegt tegen WFMY het volgende:
“If life gives you lemons, you should first make lemonade. Then make sure no other companies can produce or distribute their own soft drinks. So the only game in town is lemonade. The biggest problem with the other apps is that my face is not featured prominently.”
Scott McDowell zegt nog:
“All of us who have done online dating in some sorta way can all relate to the fact that it really does sometimes suck.”
Tot nu toe heeft Aaron echter nog geen succes met de app, maar wellicht komt daar binnenkort verandering in. Hij heeft nog even voor de kerst.
